SOUL is not your average 'high street' jewellery brand.

We are inspired by creativity and creating beauty but also, equally, we are driven by our values. Everything we make interweaves these two elements.

Let us tell you about our simple What, Where and by Whom to share when selling SOUL...

WHAT are our pieces made from?

All our pieces are made with materials that are as friendly to the Earth as possible, including:

  • Recycled 100% brass.
  • Sustainably sourced cowbone and cowhorn; by-products of an existing meat industry in Kenya.
  • Trade beads brought from traditional African traders.

WHERE are our pieces made?

Everything we make is handmade in Africa

  • Kenya - all our brass-smithing is done with our teams of Kenyan brass-smiths. They are made using traditional jewellery techniques including sand casting and handcutting.
  • South Africa - all our beadwork is done by hand in our Kalk Bay SOUL home studio.

WHO makes our pieces?

Every member of the SOUL team is valued

  • Cape Town - we have a team of 7 women (4 of whom are single mothers), all upskilled and trained within SOUL.
  • Kenya - we work with 4 teams of brass-smiths supporting over 20 people.
